I am writing to you today on behalf of my beautiful daughter. Her name is Ellie May Mckiel, she just turned 4 years old on May 10th. Ellie was born at 28 weeks and weighed 2lbs 8oz. Since she was born Ellie was diagnosed with Spastic Cerebral Palsy. She cannot crawl, sit up, stand, etc. She is also the happiest child you will ever meet. When Ellie wakes up she has a smile on her face and she has the same smile when she goes to bed. We recently found out that she has a dislocated hip and we are awaiting surgery at the IWK childrens hospital in Halifax Nova Scotia. We purchased a power wheelchair for her and have yet to get a vehicle to transport the chair. I thought I would write to you giving you a brief description about her. Ellie has to see Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists on a regular basis. A vehicle to transport her wheelchair is not just a want for us, it is a need. I could go on and on about why we need this conversion van but I will keep it short and sweet. With everything this little girl has to go though on a daily basis, this vehicle would certainly be used by someone that needs it and will appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to hear a very small portion of her story.
