Hi I am 29 years old and was injured in a car accident in 2008 when I became a Para/quadriplegic. I have spent the last 8 years of my life trying to motivate others and continuing to be as much of a light of God as I can be to everyone that comes into my life. I know everyone faces difficulties in their lives but I tried to constantly let others who have been or are going through anything know that nothing is impossible through Christ who strengthens us and that is the only reason I have gotten through my paralysis and the difficulties I have faced due to my paralysis since my accident.

I am a housewife to a wonderful husband who is my caregiver and best friend!!! This van would completely bless our lives more than I can possibly express!!! I am working with shepherd center where I live here in the Atlanta area trying to work on different mobility issues and also working with others in my situation being bound to a wheelchair with finding other options for people like us out there for transportation that we do not have in our areas, lack of accessibility in so many areas downtown where there are no ramps to even get on and off of sidewalks causing us to put ourselves in danger riding our chairs on the road in traffic to find a ramp, and working with an attorney and the local news doing whatever I can to make sure that there will be accessibility and equal opportunities for everyone with a disability. After the difficulties I have faced thus far living in the Metro Atlanta area I want to spend my life dedicated towards making sure that every person with a physical disability have the same opportunity of being a productive member of society as every able-bodied person has here as well!!!

I am hoping through my story and through past experiences and things I have gone through that it can help others and possibly change the world!!! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell my story! I can’t wait to see what’s to come!! God bless you all for supporting me in this!!! It is an honor to have so many amazing people in my life that love and support me!!!
