I have been disabled for a few years after working all my life and raising my children on my own. I have severe fibromyalgia, osteopenia of my back (bone disease) and osteo arthritis in both shoulders so I’m in an electric wheelchair. My van is a 1998 with no shocks and no chair lift. I have a basket like carrier with fold down ramp that I can not use without someone doing it for me and I live alone. By the time I get my chair on the back….the back of my van is almost on the ground. Last time I had to go to hospital (for pain relief), it took a couple of neighbors to help get me in a vehicle. I live in pain 24/7 because I am alergic to most pain meds. I live on less than $1000 a month and don’t foresee ever being able to replace my van. I cant even afford the lift I need for my chair let alone a vehicle. I only get to see my doctor once a year because it is such a painful ordeal to get me and my chair loaded. I feel so trapped in my home….. This can’t be how I’m going to live the rest of my life starring out a window. I’m missing out on my grandchildrens school events and graduations. Help!! Sorry about picture….only one I have on my tablet…back when I was 16..
